Privacy Policy
SlimFile.app is built to handle your files without keeping them. This page explains exactly what happens to what you upload, and the little we record.
Last updated 20 September 2026
The short version
- No account, so we never have your name or email unless you write to us.
- Uploaded files are deleted automatically, within about an hour.
- Signatures are processed in memory and never saved to disk.
- We do not sell data, and we do not look inside your files.
- Our usage statistics contain no IP addresses, no filenames and no cookies.
Files you upload
Most tools send your file to our server, process it, and hold the result so you can download it. Uploads and results are deleted automatically about an hour after processing — a clean-up job runs every few minutes and removes anything older. We do not open, read, copy or keep your files for any other purpose, and they are never used to train anything.
The signature tool is stricter still: the image is held in memory for the length of the request and is never written to disk.
Usage statistics
To know which tools are used and what goes wrong, the server records short events such as “a PDF was compressed”, how long it took, whether it worked, and the size of the file as a rough range (for example “1–5 MB”). These records never include filenames, file contents or IP addresses.
To count visitors without tracking them, each event carries a short code made from your connection and browser mixed with a random value that is replaced every day and never stored. The same visitor gets a different code the next day, so nobody — including us — can follow anyone across days. These records are deleted after 90 days.
Cookies and browser storage
SlimFile.app does not set cookies. It stores a few things in your own browser so the tools work: a random session code that groups one batch of files together, and any settings presets you save. They stay on your device, and clearing your browser data removes them.
Server logs and hosting
The site is hosted by Hostinger, whose servers and content delivery network may keep standard technical logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and to keep the service running. Those logs are governed by Hostinger’s own privacy policy.
Emails you send us
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete the conversation when it is no longer needed.
Advertising
SlimFile.app does not currently show ads. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any advertising goes live, including what the ad provider collects and how to control it.
Your rights
Because we keep no account and no identifying record of you, there is usually nothing to access or erase. You can still ask us anything about your data, or make a request under the privacy law that applies to you, at slimfile.app@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear here with a new date at the top.
